Would you prefer to listen to Jeff Buckley or Metallica? Well depending on your answer, researchers at Cambridge University in the UK say your musical choice may reflect your personality type. The researchers conducted a series of tests on 4,000 participants, playing music from the likes of Jeff Buckley and Norah Jones to Ornette Coleman and Metallica. The study found that people with high levels of empathy tended to enjoy mellow music while "systemisers" - people who seek to analyse patterns in the world preferred louder music like heavy metal.
