Running for Recovery: Samantha's Story

Not by the Playbook

Available for over a year

Five years ago Australian Samantha Gash became the first woman to finish surely the most difficult race in the world. 1000 kilometres, across four deserts, all with your tent and your supplies on your back. But that wasn't the hardest bit, during the Sahara Desert leg of the race she was attacked by a man on the side of the course, who tried to sexually assault her. But this isn't a story about what happened to Samantha, it's about what happened next. Not just the same month, the same week or the same day, Samantha Gash was back up and running that very same hour: (Picture: Samantha Gash, credit: www.samanthagash.com)
