Johnson: 'Ensure Kids Company children have safety net'

Today

Available for over a year

All of the children who receive care from Kids Company should have some kind of safety net when the charity closes it's services, said Boris Johnson. Kids Company, which received £3m from ministers a week ago, has told the government that it will close its services on Wednesday evening. Questions have been raised about "some of the financial management of the organisation," said the Mayor of London. This was "no reflection on the idealism and motivations" of the charity's leader Camila Batmanghelidjh, he added.
