The events of 70 years ago at the end of the Second World War are generations away from the lives of teenagers today. But thirteen year old Zack Parsons from Kibworth will be attending the VJ Day 70th anniversary commemorations this weekend - to remember those British soldiers who fought and died out in the Far East. His great grandfather Brigadier Sir Philip Toosey, one 2,000 soldiers captured in Singapore, who were forced to work on the Burma Railway.
