'I travelled 780 miles to watch my team lose 4-1'

How far would you go to follow your football team? A group of 169 Carlisle fans made a midweek 780-mile round-trip to Plymouth's ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Park, only to watch their team lose 4-1. That's a total of nearly 15 hours on the road in order to watch your team concede four times within 90 minutes of football. Ali was one of the unlucky Carlisle fans who made the colossal journey and she spoke to Mark Chapman on 5 live Sport. "We're all right, we're a bunch of hardy souls. It's nothing that we haven't been used to before. It's a standard away trip for Carlisle fans," said Ali - in a surprisingly positive mood despite her very long day. She added: "I don't know who came up with the idea to have the game on a Tuesday night, but I'd like to have a word with them." "We left at 10.30 this morning and we arrived just after 6 o'clock in Plymouth. We're looking to be back at half past five tomorrow morning to Carlisle, so there's just over seven hours to go." This clip was first broadcast on 5 live Sport on Tuesday 18 August 2015.
