Sam Burgess can make a big impact for England at the Rugby World Cup says winger Mark Cueto. Burgess, who switched codes from rugby league last year has been included in Stuart Lancaster’s squad, and former England winger Cueto says he’s shown his quality on the international stage. “He’s an incredible individual on the field, there’s no doubt about his ability, his strength, his power and his skill”, he said. “Probably a month ago I didn’t think he was ready for the World Cup but with his two performances he’s played in an England shirt you’ve got to throw him in there. “He is such an obvious big game player. He’s only been in rugby union for eight months and it’s no coincidence that his two best performances in those eight months have been for England as opposed to Bath. “I don’t think he’s a starter but as we’ve seen with those impacts off the bench he lifts the team”, Cueto added.
