Brian Lara: New Captain Holder Needs 100% Support

Sport Today

Available for over a year

A financial dispute between the West Indies Cricket Board and it's players led to the cutting short of their tour of India a year ago, and threatened the future of the game in the Caribbean. Now, one of their greatest ever batsmen, Brian Lara, is urging the Board to back the team's new captain, Jason Holder. Lara believes that, if the right environment is created, West Indies can copy South Africa's model and return to the very top. First though, why Holder at the age of just 23 is the right man: (Picture: Brian Lara, credit: Getty Images)
