One of the oldest instruments known to man - found in the tomb of Tutankhamen - the trumpet's metal tubing is bent into at least one loop, with valves that add or subtract notes. With music The Big Turtle Fanfare From the South China Sea by Hungarian composer Gyorgy Sandor Ligeti, and Sonatina for solo trumpet by Hans Werner Henze, both played by Hakan Hardenberger.
