Wearing a Headscarf

My Century

Available for over a year

Afsana Safa was 19 and lives in Britain with parents originally from Bangladesh. She wears a headscarf as a symbol of her Muslim identity. She believes everyone should feel comfortable with what they wear, regardless of religion or race. "Wearing a headscarf, it's like a constant reminder of who I am. It always reminds what I'm supposed to do and what I'm not supposed to do."
