Harry - aged 92 - is one of the eldest residents of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, while at 67 John is one of the youngest. Harry has lived at the Hospital for four years and is hoping to shortly move into one of the new berths being renovated, while John has been a resident for a year and is very much enjoying the opportunities the Hospital provides to indulge in his love of history. The week before their recording Harry had been awarded the Legion D'Honneur making him now a Chevalier, a fact he was very proud and yet slightly bemused by. Recorded in the Listening Project Booth outside the British Library in June, the friends discuss their life at the Hospital, and reflect on whether or not they will remain there after they've passed on...
