Asians could use white donor eggs

Asian Network Reports

Available for over a year

A fertility specialist suggests Asian couples who are having problems conceiving could consider using white donors to have a baby. Neelam Potdar - a gynaecologist at Leicester Fertility Centre, says because there is such a shortage of Asian egg and sperm donors, Asian couples are waiting many years - sometimes longer than people of other backgrounds - to start their families. Her suggestion comes as her clinic announced they currently have a surplus of eggs available to women who want babies, but that these eggs are mostly from white women.
