Vitamin A and pregnant women and what impact does living in a war zone have on health. In developing countries many pregnant women suffer from a vitamin A deficiency. Research has shown maternal mortality was much lower, over 40 per cent when supplements were given. The programme also looks at the physical and mental effects of living in a war zone, after the conflict has ended.
