Can Russian Athletics Be Clean? I Have Doubts

Sport Today

Available for over a year

The former Olympic marathon runner Mara Yamauchi says she has doubts whether Russian athletics can be cleaned up. Yamauchi was speaking following an investigation into allegations of doping in Russian Athletics - the findings of which were described by the chair of the investigating panel, Dick Pound, as "pretty disturbing" and "worse than they thought". That report urged the IAAF to suspend Russia from competition and recommended that the Moscow anti-doping laboratory should lose its accreditation.
