A web developer in Silicon Valley has come up with a way to turn the wanton gluttony of the US holiday into something good: Paul Katcher has designed an app, called Thanksgiving for Syria, that allows you to calculate the cost of your family's meal -- everything from the price of the turkey to the pumpkin pie and cornbread, and to donate that same amount to the Syrian people.
