Examining the history of the potato. Believed to have originated in the Peru and Bolivian areas of the Andes, 13000 years ago. It can grow at altitudes of 5000 metres and survive extreme cold and hot conditions. The programme ends with a recipe for the traditonal Irish dish fadge.
