The Facebook founder has pledged to give away 99% of shares in the social network - currently worth $45bn - to good causes - as he and his wife announce the birth of their daughter Max. It's thought to be the largest philanthropic donation in history. Stacy Palmer of the Chronicle of Philanthropy tells Fergus Nicoll that the decision will encourage other entrepreneurs to follow.
