The Bollywood star was accused of driving, whilst drunk, into a group of homeless men whilst they slept, killing one of them and injuring 4 others. Following several years of delays, in May of this year he was found guilty and handed a five year jail sentence. Now the high court in Mumbai has ruled that there isn't enough evidence against him and has overturned the conviction. The court ruled the prosecution had failed to establish beyond doubt that the actor was driving and was drunk at the time of the accident. Does the ruling surprise Asian Network listeners?
