Geraint Thomas describes what it's like after crashing off his bike on tour. Welshman Thomas reveals what the doctor has to do in order to ensure riders don't get infected. After crashing in the 2015 Tour de France, Thomas, 29, said: "The first shower you have, you might have to get someone else to scrub it if it is really deep. When you walk on the bus there are people sat in the shower being scrubbed by the doctor and the bottom of the shower turns red. It's not nice." A rider for Team Sky, Thomas, admits all he wanted to do was avoid showering but added, "In an ideal world you just want to leave it and not shower but I don't think that would go down well on the bus if you hadn't showered for 5 days."
