The God Squad - Nigeria's Olympic hopes

Sport Today

Available for over a year

Nigeria's Olympic Committee (NOC) has formed a unique partnership with the Church to unearth new talent ahead of the 2020 olympics. This stems from the country's poor showing at the London Olympics where they failed to win a single medal Pastor Paul Bankole says his church has an out-reach programme where sport is used as a vehicle to engage young children across the country. He wrote to the NOC about forming a partnership which he believes will help produce future sports stars (Picture: Olympics rings, credit: Getty Images)
