India Cracks Down on Delhi Vehicle Pollution

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The Indian capital Delhi is the world's most polluted city, according to the World Health Organisation. India's Supreme Court has announced measures to try to tackle Delhi's toxic smog. There'll be a temporary ban on the sale of luxury diesel cars in the city. And a ban on trucks using Delhi as a through route to other states. Dr Sarath Guttikunda founded UrbanEmissions.info, a website on air pollution in India. Mike Johnson asked if he was impressed by the measures. (Picture: A cloud of smog in Delhi.
