Oil in North East Scotland has brought both prosperity and massive social problems. Two friends, Anne Sobey and Steve Crockett, from the village of New Pitsligo, said to be the longest village in Scotland, represent the changing political landscape. Steve, a doctor, and Ann, an adult education officer, are from very different backgrounds but share similar views on devolution.
