Hartson: Sir Alex wouldn't stand for 'poisonous' players

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

John Hartson claims that Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't stand for 'poisonous players' in his dressing room. A number of Premier League players have been accused of not playing for their managers this season, and Hartson believes that Ferguson wouldn't allow it. "Can you imagine Sir Alex Ferguson losing a player?", Hartson said on 5 live Sport. "He'd say it was a poison in his dressing room - if he had an inkling there was trouble, he'd get rid of them." This clip is from 5 live Sport on Sunday 27 December.
