In a landmark agreement, Japan and South Korea have agreed to resolve their decades-long row over the treatment of Korean sex slaves forced to work in Japanese military brothels during the Second World War. Under the terms of the deal, Japan has apologised and will offer just over $8 million in a compensation fund for victims.
