The violinist who doesn't own a violin

Newsday

Available for over a year

The biennial Yehudi Menuhin violin competition takes place soon. It's the place to find brilliant young violinists. Among those competing is Mathilde Milwidsky, a 21 yr old north Londoner. She has no musicians in her family, has never owned a proper violin, and borrows her beautiful 1750s instrument from a benefactor. So where does the music come from?
