Victims should be involved in the caution process

Stuart Linnell

Available for over a year

The chairwoman of a victim's service says victims should take part in the caution process, after it was revealed cautions had been given out for offences such as drug trafficking. Linda Lee from Northamptonshire Victims and Witness service - Voice - said clogged up courts may also account for high numbers of police cautions. Figures obtained by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Northampton show more than 2,000 cautions were handed out by police in Northamptonshire between April 2014 and March 2015, some for serious offences like drug trafficking and possession of firearms.
