Are Asians reluctant to bring up children that aren't their own?

Nihal

Available for over a year

The charity Barnados is making an urgent plea for more Asians to become foster parents. There's a real shortage in some areas - for example in Manchester 17 per cent of population are Asian but only 4 per cent of foster carers are from that background. So what's holding people back? Is there still a stigma around bringing up someone else's children? Isn't fostering the ultimate good deed or do you think it just causes problems within families?
