Are Asians being put off becoming doctors?

Nihal

Available for over a year

It's always been a career that Asian families have aspired towards and often they will boast about their relatives who are doctors. But in the last few months this whole profession has been laid bare as junior doctors have been in a bitter dispute with the government over their pay and conditions. It now looks like they'll just impose a new contract that means more working at weekends. So is this making a career as a doctor less attractive? Are doctors still held in high esteem or has it become a job that seems like hard work for not enough pay? Two callers share their views with Nihal. (Photo Copyright: Getty Images)
