An investigation into the place names in Shropshire has finally been finished and now a new exhibition is on display in Ludlow. Jayne Carroll is the Principal Investigator from the Institute of Name Studies in the University of Nottingham and tells Jim that many villages and towns have ancient names - for example Hodnet which pre-dates the Anglo Saxon era and means "pleasant valley".
