A group of volunteers, set up to help promote the history of Southampton is looking for new tour guides. See Southampton was formed in 2014. The 11 guides actively promote the city as a tourist destination and encourage cruise passengers to stay rather than transit through. Although not formed by the council, they do work closely with the authority taking visitors behind the closed doors of some of the most iconic structures in the city. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent's reporter Neil Sackley joined guide Godfrey Collyer on his "Ghastly, Grim and Gory" walk around the historic walls.
