British Asian women put getting cancer down to fate

Asian Network Reports

Available for over a year

Karma, bad luck or fate - that's the reason given by a number of British Asian women for why people get cancer. Half of women questioned by Cancer Research UK thought it was down to fate. Nearly a third thought cancer was incurable, but no white British women thought this The charity thinks it could partly help explain why Asian women are less likely to get checked out for cancer.
