Is it right or wrong for white couples to adopt a child from a different race?

Nihal

Available for over a year

We're asking this because of a Sri Lankan woman who's been talking to the us about the issues around being adopted by a white family. Jenny Smyth says she's faced racism growing up in Britain and says attitudes need to change around multicultural adoption. Although she calls her case a "success story" because she had a good upbringing she says she's dealt what she calls "ignorance" her entire life. People just can't understand why she has white parents and she wants attitudes towards multicultural adoption to change. Two callers share their views with Nihal.
