Murray: Indian Wells' Moore's comments 'out of order'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Andy Murray has spoken out against Raymond Moore's controversial comments about women's pay in tennis. Moore, who quit as the chief of the Indian Wells tournament earlier today, said the women's game "rides on the coat-tails" of the men - a view described as "sexist" by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The world number two Murray says he is unsure where Moore was coming from with his view. "Obviously the comments he made were out of order, I don't agree with them at all," he said. "It's not about men or women, but tennis should be thankful for the players we have right now." This clip is from 5 live Sport on Tuesday 22 March 2016.
