Theatre: West End vs Regions

Broadcasting House

Available for over a year

Michael Lynas from the Ambassador Theatre Group says it's becoming more difficult to get the biggest names to perform in the regions. Broadcasting House presenter, Paddy O'Connell spoke to actors Sir Ian McKellan, Dame Penelope Keith, Miriam Margoyles and Tim Pigott-Smith. Actor Dame Penelope Kieth agreed that it was becoming harder to persuade West End stars in London to perform in regional theatres across the UK: "I just wish everybody would be more inclusive and realise there is life north of Watford."
