Eubank Sr: I would 'pull him out' if it was my son

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Chris Eubank says he would pull his son out of a fight if he was in the same situation as Nick Blackwell. Eubank told his son, also called Chris, to avoid punching Blackwell in the head towards the end of Saturday's British middleweight title fight in London. Blackwell, 25, is in an induced coma after being stopped in the 10th round. Asked what decision he would have made were the roles reversed, Eubank Sr was adamant he would protect his son first and foremost. "It would alienate me from my son for life, but I would pull him out. He'd never forgive me. Ever," he told 5 live Sport. He added: "It's either that or his health. It's not a difficult question." This clip is from 5 live Sport on Tuesday 29 March 2016.
