Frederick Delius - "Delius and his Music"

Music Matters

Available for over a year

Frederick Delius was an extraordinarily versatile composer, equally at home with orchestral, instrumental and chamber works as with choral works and songs. There have been many biographies and articles about the life of the composer but up until now there has never been a book which combines biography and musical analysis. In “Delius and his Music” Martin Lee-Browne and Paul Guinery cover his entire output from his earliest compositions and “trifles” to the mighty, ninety minute “A Mass for Life”. Petroc talks to the authors and reviews the book with Daniel Grimley, Professor of Music at Oxford University. Broadcast in February 2015.
