Do referees want Leicester to win the league?

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Andy Townsend, Chris Sutton and Rory Smith discuss the possibility of referees, even opposition players, being affected by Leicester's remarkable tilt at the Premier League title. Claudio Ranieri's side are now seven points clear at the top and Smith suggests referees, "won't want to be the guy to deny Leicester a win through a contentious decision". Southampton manager Ronald Koeman felt aggrieved his side weren't awarded two penalties against the Foxes on Sunday. Smith added: "It's not a deliberate bias. Referees are weighing up countless decisions and the romance of Leicester could be one of those". This clip is from 5 live Sport on Monday April 4 2016.
