David Sullivan: Jealousy towards 'special' Man Utd

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

West Ham chairman believes Manchester United are treated 'specially' after the kick off at the final game at Upton Park was delayed by 45 minutes. The Manchester United team bus was attacked on the way into the stadium by West Ham supporters and there were several bottles thrown, damaging the vehicle. Sullivan, 67, said: "I don't understand why Manchester United didn't get here at 4 o clock. They knew it was our last game. They knew there would be congestion, so they should have come earlier." Sullivan, who was frustrated that West Ham supporters would potentially miss the post-match tributes to their stadium, added: "There is jealousy towards Manchester United because everybody feels they get treated specially. They've been treated specially again here tonight. If we had arrived at Old Trafford when they did they wouldn't have put the kick off back 45 minutes."
