Killer sun

Health Check

Available for over a year

In Tanzania 30,000 people have albinism, a congenital condition in which the skin lacks pigment. They live in fear of being singled out for ritual killings, but their biggest killer is the sun. As a result of soaring skin cancer rates 90% of people with albinism do not live beyond the age of 30. Hannah McNeish reports on a new affordable, suitable sun cream manufactured by a dermatology centre in northern Tanzania which is trying to save the lives of people with albinism.
