A Manchester United fan has described his experience of being part of the crowd which was turned away from Old Trafford as the Premier League game against Bournemouth was abandoned due to safety concerns. Two stands - the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand and the Stretford End - were evacuated before the home game against Bournemouth and sniffer dogs brought in to search the stands. Kick-off, due at 15:00 BST, was delayed and shortly afterwards the match was abandoned on police advice. “It was mostly a mood of confusion rather than panic,” United fan Jack said. “Eventually there was an announcement that kick off had been delayed and then at around 3 o’clock a steward stood on a wall and said the game had been cancelled,” he added. This clip is from 5 live Sport, Sunday 15 May 2016.
