Former British number one Annabel Croft says Laura Robson is a "shadow" of the player who impressed at the US Open in 2012. Robson was eliminated in the first round of the French Open on Tuesday after losing 6-2 6-2 to Andrea Petkovic. The 22-year-old has been plagued by persistent wrist problems since 2014 and has dropped to 329 in the world rankings. Croft said: "When I watched her today I thought: “wow”, this is just a shadow of the player I witnessed at the US Open beating Kim Clijsters and Li Na, and yet you can see the talent bubbling under the surface.
