Youngsters learn sailing and other life skills

Julian Clegg

Available for over a year

Hundreds of youngsters from Southampton and beyond are once again getting a taste for sailing at a city centre training centre. The ABP Southampton Sailing Academy was founded in 2014 and gives local youngsters an opportunity to build their confidence, learn teamwork and communication skills - as well as giving them a possible first taste of life as a professional sailor. The sessions are carried out at Southampton Water Acivities Centre (SWAC) under Itchen Bridge. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent's reporter Neil Sackley caught up with the latest batch of trainees.
