Stuart Linnell

Available for over a year

Antibiotic resistance is "the next big problem," according to a University of Northampton student set to start research on the subject. Third-year student Adam Gregory has been awarded £2,500 to carry out research into why bacteria can become resistant to common antibiotics. Gemma Marsden, a senior lecturer at the University and researcher on the project, said the problem was first identified by the discoverer of antibiotics, Alexander Fleming.
