Vardy: 'I don't read the critics'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

England and Leicester striker, Jamie Vardy, said he "doesn't read" reports from newspapers who criticise him for being pictured with nicotine patches and an energy drink. He told 5 live's senior football reporter, Ian Dennis, there were "a lot of positives and not that many negatives" from England's first two Euro 2016 games. Amidst speculation of the striker leaving champions Leicester for Arsenal after the tournament, Vardy said he's "only thinking about representing England". He said he won't be reflecting on what he's achieved in the past season until "after the tournament". This clip is originally from 5 live sport's Euro 2016 coverage on Saturday 18 June 2016.
