England captain Wayne Rooney says the Euro 2016 elimination to Iceland was ‘embarrassing’ and has called the resignation of manager Roy Hodgson ‘sad’. Hodgson quit immediately after the 2-1 defeat in Nice, a result Rooney admits was disappointing. “We’re sad and gutted,” he said. “It is embarrassing to go out but that’s football,” the Manchester United forward added. This clip is from 5 live Sport, Monday 27 June 2016.
