The Queen 'gets the biggest cheer when she wins'

Weekend Kick-Off

Available for over a year

Berkshire trainer Sylvester Kirk says horse racing is 'lucky' that the Queen takes such a huge interest. Her horse Dartmouth is the favourite to win the King George VI on Saturday, "We are so lucky that she has so much interest in the sport. It's a pleasure to see it." "She gets the biggest cheer on the track whenever she wins, and she can't conceal her excitement when she wins the race." "I just think that's amazing, when you can see someone in her position get that excited about winning a horse race." "It goes some way to explaining how fun it is having a winner and owning a racehorse."
