Police horses wow the crowds at New Forest Show

Sasha Twining

Available for over a year

On a normal day Metropolitan Police officers and horses would be engaged in ceremonial duties and on duty at large events in the capital. But for three days, they swapped the streets of London for the New Forest Showground in Brockenhurst. Riders and horses thrilled the crowds who had gathered around the Hoburne Ring to watch their precision display. The fast moving display included officers guiding their horses through hoops of fire, riders removing their jackets and saddles whilst their horses cantered and completed fast crossovers. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent's Neil Sackley was granted special access to their temporary stables, interrupting Merlin's dinner.
