Shanklin Church celebrates 175 years

August 12th may be known to many as the start of the Grouse shooting season, but for the congregation of an Isle of Wight Church that date has a more local significance. In 2016, that date year marks 175 years of Christian Witness in Shanklin. The Independent Chapel was opened on 12 August 1841.; The current United Reformed Church building is the third on the site as ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent's Neil Sackley has been finding out.
