How table tennis Olympians make their own paddles

Today In Rio

Available for over a year

Table tennis player Kanak Jha is the youngest member of the US Olympic team, at just 16. Not only has he had to master the sport, but also how to make his own equipment. Table tennis players make their paddles to their own requirements, gluing the rubber surface to the blade to make a unique tool. Kanak, along with his mother and father, explained the ritual of making the paddle in their house. (Photo: Kanak Jha with his hand crafted paddle. Credit: ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½)
