Rufus and Ben met as college students in 2004 and have been friends ever since. Rufus started his working life as a nurse, before being lured by the appeal of entertainment. The pair worked together in theatre and then in cabaret, starting out as performer and stage-hand where Rufus compered and performed fire-breathing tricks (as 'Rufus T Fahrenheit') and Ben was his stage manager (known as 'The Not So Impressive Ben'). They've been a double-act since 2010. They're now known simply as 'Rufus + Ben'. Visually, they're an entertaining package because Ben is about a foot taller than Rufus and they appear on stage in matching red suits.
