Former England spinner Phil Tufnell recalls the 1992 tour of India which was played amid security concerns. England are set to tour Bangladesh in September despite 20 hostages being killed in the country's capital Dhaka. Tufnell says it is a challenge to focus on playing cricket when there are such concerns. He added: "It was a difficult situation for all the players. We had a ring of steel, a thousand armed guards. It does cross your mind, if we've been told it is safe to play here, why have we got fellas with machine guns in our dressing room?" The tour in 1992 'unravelled', according to Tufnell and he highlighted the importance of the senior players: "I remember the guards being everywhere,” he said. “There was one outside my hotel room.
